Worry

So now that Michael Brown has removed himself from FEMA before he could be chased away by Barney and his posse of pissed-off Scotties, things should be running better down at Ye Olde Federal Emergency Management Agency, right?

Turns out the new guy, acting director David Paulison, is the same person who was responsible for the now-legendary Duct Tape 'n' Plastic Sheeting Frenzy of 2003.*

I hear Home Depot has built a statue to Paulison outside their headquarters.

*Admit it: you bought some, didn't you?

5 Comments:

No I did NOT buy duct tape. I associated buying duct tape with my elementary school teachers' instructions to hide under our desks in the event of a nuclear attack. That was in the 50s. I would have hoped that in 45 years our "leaders" would have come up with better survival plans.

I didn't buy it either. But I did put together an emergency kit for us and our pets in case we ever needed to skedaddle in a hurry. That's a good thing to have in any case, like a natural disaster, or if you have to go on the lam and flee from the police or the Mob.
