There's no "THE" there

I just got word from my editor that the title of my novel will be Eyes of Crow instead of The Eyes of Crow, because it looked better on the cover. As far as I'm concerned, they can change my name to Eustice P. Tiddlywinks if it'll help sell the book.

I hope to have a cover mock-up soon to tell you about, though I probably can't post anything other than the final version. I'm dying to see it. The only thing I know for sure about it is that the word "The" won't appear.

I like the new title. It's more....something, maybe bold, or something.

I think "THE"-less is the word you're looking for.

Seriously, though, I like it, and it makes sense, because Rhia's not the only Crow person in the books. So she's not THE eyes of Crow.

We chucked Eye of Crow early on, because it sounded like an ingredient in a witch's brew.

She's not taking all the articles out of the rest of the book, is she? That would make it read like Tarzan wrote it -- or a Russian villain from a James Bond movie.

"She put book on table, and proceded to hunt for moose and squirrel."

I took out all the a's, an's, and the's, and eliminated over 8,000 words! That's over 30 pages.
