Shine on you crazy diamond

Did you exchange
a walk-on part in the war
for a lead role in a cage?
--Pink Floyd, "Wish You Were Here"
It was just announced that Syd Barrett, the founder of Pink Floyd, died the other day at the age of 60.

Enjoy your great gig in the sky, Mr. Barrett. You'll be missed more than ever now.

Just saw this too.

I was reading Syd's wiki page. A 2001 compilation of his music is entitled: "Wouldn't you miss me?"

I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who knows about Syd Barrett. Shine on, Syd.

Welcome to the blog, Nozomi! Too bad we couldn't meet under better circumstances. Isn't that what people always say at funerals?
