Guest blog & Bring on the Night's 1st chapter debut!

Popping out of my prairie-dog hole for a moment to let you know that I'm giving away two signed sets of Wicked Game and Bad to the Bone over at the wonderful Plotmonkeys blog today.

The topic is teaser chapters and rewrites (yes, there's a connection). Buried in the blog post is the first glimpse of the entire opening chapter of Bring on the Night. All I can say is, don't kill me.

Speaking of Bring on the Night, I better get back to its copyedits. Lots of little changes, to all thirty-five chapters!

Hi Jeri, it was great meeting you in the plotmonkey jungle yesterday. Your books sound very intriguing and I am glad I had the opportunity to win some. Thanks again. I hope you swing by more often. Maybe we can get rid of your fear for monkeys completely that way. Thanks again for swinging with us. Have a great writing day.

Peace and love,
Paula R.

It was a lot of fun. Thank you very much. Someone, Amygdalia, suggested your books to me today on the Blaze Authors Blog. I was so happy to tell her that I was lucky enough to win two of them already. I really can't wait to get into your world. Have a great writing day. See you around, Jeri.

Peace and love,
Paula R.

I briefly mentioned Shade on my blog yesterday! :) I read Shade in one day and it was brilliant! I'll be posting my official review closer to May. :) Thanks for the awesome read!

Paula, your books will be going out Saturday first thing--sorry for the slight delay. Deadlines had me slammed last week, and I'm finally catching up (sort of).

Jessica, thank you for that lovely mention of SHADE on your blog! It made my day. I'm so glad you connected with the characters. And FEED by M.T. Anderson is one of my favorite books. The voice and characters are beautifully written without being consciously beautiful, you know? I think anyone just beginning to write YA needs to read FEED. It will open their minds to what's possible.

I agree!

If you're planning to do a blog tour or anything, or you're up for a guest blog post I'd love for you to be on my blog around the release of Shade! :)
